Swiss skipper Bernard Stamm (C) is welcomed by French skippers Vincent Riou (L) and Jean le Cam (R) upon his arrival late on February 6, 2013 in Les Sables d'Olonne, western France, after ending the 7th edition of the Vendee Globe solo round-the-world race. Stamm was disqualified on January 2, 2013, after receiving uncalled for assistance after his generator packed up but was later allowed to race on following a successful appeal to the race jury. Le Cam finished fifth of the event as Riou abandoned on November 24, 2012 after his hull was damaged by a metallic buoy.
