Picture shows a straight boardwalk hiking trail in the middle of grass plants, heathers in bloom (Calluna Vulgaris or Amilto heather) and moorland at sunset. It was taken in the Brackvenn Fen, in the High Fens, a plateau region located in the east of Belgium and west of Germany, close to Malmedy and Monschau, in the Liege Province. It is protected as a nature reserve since 1957 and part of the larger High Fens - Eifel Nature Park, a cross-border ecological area established in 1971, consisting mainly of raised bogs, moorland and forests.
