INTERVIEW - Michael B. Jordan on how he went to prepare for his first leading role in this film. He did his research and visited the BAY. On his first encounter with Oscars family- 4 years later, it was difficult for him to talk about Oscar at first. On people being a fan of his show The Wire which gave him the g-pass and allowed Oscar’s family to talk about the tragedy and who Oscar really was. On trust being a big part of him understanding his characters which was his pass in letting people talk about Oscar especially his mother. On what advice he was given by Oscar winner Octavia and Forest- that was to Listen and try to never replicate anyone and that ultimately changed his approach in developing his character.
