FEB 11 1977, FEB 12 1977; Crash Ends Police Chase; An automobile and a construction-company pickup are a tangled mess, above, after colliding Friday near W. 1st. Ave. and Quincy St. as the driver of the car was attempting to elude police. The auto driver, identified as Gregg Lane Staley, 6760 W. 4th Place, Lakewood, is placed on a stretcher, left, to be taken to Denver General Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition. Two occupants of the truck were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Officers from the Lakewood' Department of Public Safety said the car was observed traveling above the 30-miles-per-hour limit on 1st.
