U.S. Army Instructors Go On A Patrol With The Afghan National Army In Kabul
KABUL, AFGHANISTAN - OCTOBER 1: Afghan National Army and US Army soldiers from 1st Battalion, 151 Infantry Regiment (Indiana National Guard) stop along a joint foot patrol to offer a local Afghan leader crayons and coloring books for small childern on October 1, 2004 in Kabul, Afghanistan. US Army officers will demonstrate to the ANA soldiers proper patrolling techniques in a neighborhood on the eastern side of Kabul. The ANA soldiers will then form the military police detachment for their base further east along the Jalalabad road. The US Army is overseeing the reformation of the Afghan Army which has 15,000 ANA soldiers deployed and in training around the country in the last two years.
