Pigeon House of Jacobabad - Stockfoto

The 30 feet high tower for pigeons is one of the old monumental structure of the Jacobabad. The nursery was built and basically maintained by General John Jacob for communication and spying purpose during the British ruling India. Jacobabad is a city in Sindh, Pakistan, serving as both the capital city of Jacobabad District and the administrative centre of Jacobabad Taluka, an administrative subdivision of the district. The town was founded near the village of Khangarh in 1847 by Brigadier General John Jacob who died and was buried there in 1858.
