Deep PRESSURE SENSORY RECEPTORS (PACINIAN CORPUSCLES) in the SUBCUTANEOUS LAYER of the SKIN, 20X Pacinian Corpuscles are deep pressure receptors. Pacinian Corpuscles detect the sensation of Deep Pressure and Vibrations--also called PRESSORECEPTORS. They are located in the deepest layer of the skin (subcutaneous layer). They remind you of all the layers of an onion. A sensory neuron is associated with each pacinian corpuscle, and two of the corpuscles show a centrally located dendrite. This is Thick Skin in the palm of the hand.
