Abandoned house (Casa Sutermeister) with a tree grown inside the walls in the mountain village of Pogallo in Val Grande National Park, along the trail from Cicogna to Pogallo, Province of Verbano Cusio Ossola, Piedmont Region. Val Grande is today the largest wilderness area in Italy but until the first decades of the XX century it was inhabited and very active in timber production and there was even a small hydroelectric plant.
