Portland's Victor Claver looking forward to NBA ch

Valencia (Spain), Aug 30 (EFE).- Spanish power forward Victor Claver said farewell on Thursday to his former club, Valencia Basket, as he prepared to head to the United States to play for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA this season. "I know it will be tough, I have to demand the maximum from myself to succeed there. I like the challenge of being able to be important in the best league in the world, and that's why I'm going. It's an opportunity for me to continue to grow and hopefully I'll be there many years," Claver said. In his first official game in the NBA, Claver will face the Los Angeles Lakers, where he will go up against his Spanish international team-mate, Pau Gasol.
