University in Buenos Aeries develops innovative super-concentrated food 'super soup' to combat hunger during crisis

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA - OCT. 05, 2024: In Argentina, a university have developed an innovative super-concentrated food "super soup" specifically designed to combat hunger during times of crisis. Students and faculty from the National University of Quilmes in Buenos Aires developed this versatile food product with hundreds of potential applications, aimed at addressing various needs and challenges, including hunger relief in times of crisis. The "Super Sopa" Program, led by Magister Anahi Cuellas, is being implemented at the university, engaging various sectors of the academic community. Faculty members, graduates, and students from the university's Food Engineering program are collaborating to create a high-quality, flavorful, natural, well-balanced, and extremely affordable food product. This product, known as "concentrated soup," is primarily made from vegetables, with beef as a protein source, fats for caloric content, and a starchy base like rice. Unlike dry (dehydrated) products or pastes, the concentrated soup resembles a stew where its ingredients are easily identifiable.
