Tefe (Amazonas), 6th Oct 2023 - Boiled Dolphins: Researchers and veterinarians are conducting a necropsy on a boto (freshwater dolphin) found dead in Lake Tefe, near the Amazon River, amidst the worst drought ever experienced in the Amazon. At least 150 animals - 10% of the region's population - were found dead and rescued by the Mamiraua Institute between late September and early October.
