House Energy Considers Additional Health Care Bill Amendments

Although Energy approved its version of the health bill (HR 3200) by 31-28 on July 31, Democrats and Republicans on the panel agreed then to take up a number of leftover amendments when Congress returned from its August recess. The amendments approved in this follow-up session will be sent to House Rules, which is in the process of blending versions of HR 3200 approved by the Energy and Commerce, Education and Labor, and Ways and Means committees.
