Levar Burton with Subjects of Controversial Ron LeFlore TV Movie

(Original Caption) Actor Levar Burton, (L), Detroit Tiger's star outfielder Ron LeFlore, (C), and former Yankees Manager Billy Martin meet here in New York on September 6, as the team behind the CBS movie for television, One In a Million; The Ron LeFlore Story, which is to be aired September 26th. Burton, nominated for an Emmy Award for his work in the role of Kunta Kinte in Roots, plays LeFlore in the film. LeFlore, imprisoned at 19 for armed robbery, won his ticket to freedom as a baseball player. He did so with a little help from Billy Martin, Manager of the Tigers at the time. Martin plays himself in the TV movie.
