A 19th century winter themed frame containing a part quotation from the Gospel of Luke 6:35: “Love ye your enemies, and do good … and ye shall be the children of the Highest.” In the King James Bible, the complete quote is, “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.” From “The Children’s Friend” Volume XXXVII for 1897.
