The Lambretta scooter of a Mod (modernist), the teenage culture of Britain in the 1960’s. Vespa’s or Lambretta’s were the iconic scooters of choice for transportation, and treating them as a fashion accessory was an important part of the culture. Scores of mirrors and lights were de rigeur. The cover of The Who’s album Quadrophenia features a Mod’s mirrror-adorned scooter. This is perhaps the finest example of a mod’s scooter I have seen, adorned with multi-mirrors, multi-lights and a full set of air horns.
