Rare Flowering In Osaka Is A Succulent Sight

Visitors to the Sakuya Konohana Kan conservatory in Osaka’s Tsurumi Ward on June 14, 2016 in Osaka,Japan, got to enjoy the rare sight of a 6-meter tall agavegatu ferox in full bloom. The plant is a variety of succulent found mainly in arid regions of Central and South America that flowers only between several decades. The agave’s yellow flowers, reminiscent of exploding fireworks, can be viewed for about another week.
