This is one continuous video clip (30 seconds) featuring several Canadian goose (Branta canadensis) families swimming on a lake on Mitcham Common, Surrey, England. The large numbers of goslings in the stationary families can be compared to the small numbers in the families 'moving through' the picture. Notice the pronounced neck-stretching behaviour of these moving parents, encouraging their goslings to travel on towards the lake shoreline.
