Kenyan Gov't Burns More Than 100 Tons of Ivory

NAIROBI, KENYA - APR. 30: Officials at the Kenya Wildlife Service set fire to some 105 tons of elephant tusk ivory, mainly confiscated from poachers, at Nairobi National Park on April 30, 2016. It was believed to be the largest stockpile ever destroyed, representing the tusks of around 8,000 slaughtered elephants, as the Kenyan government sought to make a strong statement against the illegal ivory trade.
