Mary Portas report on saving high street: Portas meets David Cameron; ENGLAND: London: INT David Cameron MP (Prime Minister) and Mary Portas (retail expert) meeting market traders and along / Cameron and Portas chatting and drinking tea in cafe David Cameron MP (Prime Minister) interview SOT - I think Mary Portas has done an absolutely excellent job / its a problem right across our country, high streets with too many empty shops - She's given us the blue print, lets behave like shopping malls - I'm passionate about this agenda because in every town there is a hige street that people want to use - I've put a good minister in charge of driving this forward - (on landlords) Important we free up some up the planning restrictions that hold our high street back, in Landlords interest to sometimes cut the rent get the shops open and make sure our high streets are attractive places - (on coalition) the coalition is very strong - came together for a good reason - to put aside party interests and to act in the national interest - we had a very good cabinet meeting this morning - I think the coalition will come out of this very strongly
