Fractal movied in HD video format. From a kind of green and orange slime there arises an image of two large mouthed frogs, side by side. Since this is a fractal you are free to see what you like in this intriguing stream of images, but in this evolution it is frogs that I see. This movie clip runs for 24 seconds, and is made up of 600 fractal images. Each image is a kind of mathematical graph, laid out as a picture. A number is put into an equation, and the answer is recorded as a coloured dot. That answer is then put into the same equation to generate a second answer, which is also plotted. This procedure is repeated thousands of times, with each new answer being used to generate the next one. The end results can be astonishingly complicated and beautiful, and any part of the image can be zoomed into in order to reveal even more complexity.
