Migrants on route through South America to the US PT 1
VOICED: For the traffickers migrants are nothing more than human cargo - just another way of making money. Women and girls are particularly vulnerable to rape and abduction on journeys that can take months, and are often sold as sex slaves along the way. U.S. authorities are pushing an information campaign warning people they are risking everything to get to America at the hands of human traffickers and crime gangs. One of these trafficking cartels gave Sky News exclusive access to the mountainous smuggling route between Guatemala and Mexico - a route that has never been filmed. On the journey the team meets two young girls setting off on their American dream. SHOWS: Migrants on back of pickup truck as it drives along a mountain pass. Interviews with Daniella, migrant, Karla, Migrant and 'Coyote' Evelio on 23 October 2018 in Guatemala
