Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: An Aerial view taken 24 February 2005 shows the commercial, deep-water port Rashid in Dubai, named after Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who ruled Dubai from 1958 until 1990. A powerful House of Representatives committee has voted overwhelmingly to block Dubai Ports World from managing six US ports, moving closer to a showdown with the White House over the deal.
