1955 San Marino General Election

The election was held on 14th August, with the Committee of Freedom (Comita Liberta) alliance of the Sammarinese Communist Party and Sammarinese Socialist Party (Partito Socialista Sammarinese (PSS)) retaining its majority in the Grand and General Council (Consiglio Grande e Generale), despite the Sammarinese Christian Democratic Party (Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese (PDCS)) winning 23 of the 60 seats to remain the largest party.
