Kyiv Received 13 KATO Mini Excavators From Japanese Partners
KYIV, UKRAINE - APRIL 23: KATO mini excavators, received from Japanese partners, stand in a row in Natalka Park on April 23, 2025 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The assistance was provided within the framework of the Emergency Recovery and Reconstruction Program of Ukraine, which the Japanese government is implementing through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Mini excavators are particularly effective for quickly eliminating craters after the Russian missiles and drones strikes. More powerful excavators (2 of them were received) will be involved in large-scale reconstruction works in areas that have suffered significant damage. The equipment will also be used to prepare the basis for landscaping the city. (Photo by Zinchenko/Global Images Ukraine via Getty Images)
