The Madras High Court ordered the release of Vijayendra on conditional bail a month after his arrest for his alleged involvment in a murder case. Saraswathi, a priest at the 2,500-year-old Kanchi Mutt temple, is accused along with revered Hindu pontiff Jayendra Saraswathi of ordering the death of a former aide who had alleged fraud at a famed Hindu temple.was granted "conditional bail" by the Madras High Court.
