Russel Huson with Ion Source Generator

(Original Caption) 3/22/1990-Houston, TX- The first part of the superconductor-super collider ion source generator has been completed at the Texas Accelerator Center in Woodlands, Texas, north of Houston. Russell Huson, director of TAC's laboratory, looks over a prototype of the ion source. The ion generator willmake up the first two feet of the giant 54-mile-long circular sub-atomic particle collider that will be built underground south of Dallas, near Waxahachie, Texas.
