Hotel Humboldt in Caracas

This hotel that is a time capsule that takes us directly to the fifties of the last century is located on top of Cerro Ávila in Caracas, Venezuela , the mountain and national park that surrounds the city. It is an icon in Venezuelan architecture for its avant-garde design. It was built in 1956, it was part of the plan to unite Caracas with the Litoral through a tourist and recreational complex that involved the cable car as a means of transportation. The building is at a height of 2,140 meters above sea level, its architecture is composed of a circular tower that allows a 360º view. The Humboldt Hotel is considered one of the twentieth century masterpieces in Venezuela. In order to restore the hotel and reactivate the hotel and lodging services, the restoration of the Humboldt Hotel began in 2012.
