PATTANI, THAILAND - 2007/05/13: Beraheng Karing, a local Muslim security volunteer employed by the government, was shot in August 2006 on his way back from a mosque by insurgents accusing him to be a collaborator with the authorities. A bullet entered his head from behind, tearing apart his left eye. His remained two months in a intensive care unit and had a third of his skull removed by surgeons. He holds a document in Thai language posted in his village two days after he was shot, and threatening of a death sentence everyone who is suspected to work for the government's security forces..
