Due to a temperature inversion the clouds are hanging low to the shaded forest while the 2000 foot tall Grand Wall reflects the warm heat from being in direct sun. In center frame is the famous Split Pillar, an iconic pitch on the rock climb The Grand Wall which ascends its way up through the rock face.
