Leopard (Panthera pardus) feeding on impala kill stashed high in a tree. Leopards almost always take their prey up a tree immediately after a kill, in order to defend it from opportunistic hyenas. This impala is probably heavier than the leopard itself, which gives an idea of the stamina that the leopard needed to climb the tree with the body of the impala.
