Zelkova Trees Lit Up To Form Glowing Blue Grotto In Shibuya

Video footage taken on the evening of November 21,2017,Japan, in the busy Tokyo district of Shibuya shows rows of zelkova trees strung with blue LED lights being switched on to open this year’s Ao no Dokutsu (blue grotto) Shibuya holiday illumination display. About 600,000 thousand LED bulbs were used to create the passageway of waving blue that continues for about 800 meters and leads to Yoyogi Park. The route, a section of which will have reflective material on the ground, will be illuminated daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Dec. 31.
