Hamas breaks the ice the with Egypt
GAZA CITY, GAZA - FEBRUARY 11: Senior Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh says that they made a clean break with Egypt at the ceremony held for the distribution of the houses built in southern Gaza Strip as part of the reconstruction project implemented with the financial back up of Qatar in Gaza on February 11, 2017. He also says in his speech that they care their relations with Egypt and aim for improved ties adding that they'll remove all the security worries of Egypt. "We have talked about issues regarding the political situation, bilateral relations, Gaza's needs and removal of the blockade with our Egyptian brothers." Haniyeh says speaking about his latest trip to Egypt. In the ceremony Qatari Ambassador Mohammad Al Emadi and Gaza's Minister for Public Works and Settlement Mufeed al-Hassayna make speeches as well.
