Syrian Kurdish Refugees In Suruc, Turkey Flee Kobani As ISIS Gains More Control
Turkey is struggling to cope with the continued influx of Syrian Kurds who have been fleeing their hometown of Kobani after the Jihadist militant group The Islamic State threatened to kill them. So far the UNHCR estimates there are currently 160,000 Syrian Kurds taking shelter in the border town of Suruc. Many refugees are taking shelter in parks and abandoned buildings. Some have been fortunate to find shelter in several of the tent cities being built by the Turkish government who are coordinating with NGO's and charities.
