Orphanage And School In Torez, Ukraine Copes With Effects Of War In Region

TOREZ, UKRAINE - FEBRUARY 27: Selischev Juriy, a 13-year-old orphan who's mother was killed during fighting between the Ukrainian Army and pro-Russian rebels, eats lunch at Torez Special Secondary boarding school #43 on February 27, 2015 in Torez, Ukraine. Juriy has an absent father; his aunt, who became his care-giver when his mother died, could not afford to house him and chose to send he and his brother to the school as orphans. The school acts as both a school for local children and an orphanage for children who no longer have a place to live. The school receives assistant from pro-Russian rebels.
