SONGSHAN CULTURAL PARK, TAIPEI, TAIWAN - 2015/04/25: A protest leader speaks under a tree that is due to be removed if construction of Taipei Dome continues. Civic groups mobilized supporters and called for the Far Glory Taipei Dome to be dismantled and the area turned into a park. The stadium, due to be completed in 2016, failed a safety inspection this month which prompted Taipei's Deputy Mayor to state that either it, or the accompanying shopping mall being built on the site, should be demolished. Civic groups have long called for the land to be left as a park, and have previously staged small protests over the removal of trees from the site.
