CYPRUS-TURKEY-CONFLICT

A picture taken on May 25, 2016 shows a close up of a Bedford bus parked at the Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri, a British overseas territory located ten kilometres west of the Cypriot port city of Limassol. Abandoned in the streets of the base after the war, hundreds of vehicles that belonged to Turkish Cypriots, mostly dating from the 1960s, had been gathered in a vast wasteland in 1975 await their owners on the British base of Akrotiri, 42 years after being left behind in the divided island.
