Goslar Mayor Welcomes Migrants Despite Critics

Goslar town Mayor Oliver Junk has been outspoken in seeing foreign migrants and refugees seeking asylum and a better future for themselves in Germany as an opportunity for Goslar, which is otherwise losing an average of 2,000 residents a year due to demographics and Germany's low birth rate. So far 200 migrants now live in Goslar as well as another 1,000 in nearby communities.
