Voters Head to The Polls For Fourth Phase Of Assembly Elections In Trouble Torn Kashmir
SRINAGAR, KASHMIR - DECEMBER 14: Kashmiri voters wait in queue to cast their votes outside the polling station, during the fourth phase of assembly elections on December 14, 2014 in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir, India. A large number of Indian troops were deployed on the streets of Kashmir to stop the protest as dissent politicians had asked people to stay away from the elections and called for complete shutdown in the areas of polls. However polling stations remained under tight security in the fourth phase of assembly elections with voters turning out in average numbers to use their franchise. The five-phased polls in Jammu and Kashmir will end on December 20 and the results is to be announced on December 23 . (Photo by Yawar Nazir/Getty Images)
