Hundreds of mourners gather as the body of Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri is taken for burial at the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem 29 January 2006. Mystical Jewish rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, one of the great contemporary spiritual fathers for Kabbalist followers all over the world, died yesterday at the age of 106 in Jerusalem. Originally from Iraq, Kaduri immigrated to British-mandate Palestine as a child and after studies at various Jewish seminaries, became a Kabbalist spiritual leader without ever publishing his teachings.
