An earlier German Hanseatic city Deventer, the capital of the province of Overijssel. On this occasion, it should be mentioned that the Netherlands has 11 provinces: Drenthe, Friesland, Geldern, Groningen, Limburg, North Brabant, North and South Holland, Overijssel, Utrecht and Zeeland. However, the provinces have only the size of extensive German counties. Deventer has a lot of industry and an Institute for Tropical Agriculture. We see here near the Ijsselufers the extensive Lebuinuskirche with its massive and above so gracefully decaying tower. Now we are back in northern Holland.
