Germany And France Celebrate 50th Anniversary Of Elysee Treaty

BERLIN, GERMANY - JANUARY 22: French President Francois Hollande addresses the media at a press conference at the Chancellery during the 50th anniversary celebration of the Elysee Treaty on January 22, 2013 in Berlin, Germany. The treaty, concluded in 1963 by Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer in the Elysee Palace in Paris, set a new tone of reconciliation between France and Germany, and called for consultations between the two countries to come to a common stance on policies affecting the most important partners in Europe as well as the rest of the region.
